Instructor training

All training is provided by our fully trained trainers.

Becoming an instructor is time consuming and takes longer than some adverts make out, our training is based on pay as you go method there are no large costs to pay out, we have an initial deposit for theory material and some training then we work at your rate.

All training is conducted on a one to one basis, not unlike a driving lesson.

Training is delivered in three sections.

All our material – study manuals and reference books, CD-ROMs and DVDs – are endorsed by  the Driving Standards Agency . This organisation leads our profession and set the strict standards of training and subsequent operation of all Approved Driving Instructors.

The qualifying Examination to become a DSA Approved Driving Instructor is split into three parts. We refer to them as Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. Each must be passed before you can move onto the next. We concentrate on each Part before training on the next, although we often overlap a couple of hours. This way, as you study Theory and Hazard Perception, you will have a Driving assessment (for Part 2) that may identify habits or techniques that you can work on in the meantime – as you drive in your daily life.
